Awards Reception 2008
On September 17, 2008, MVLS honored volunteers and major donors at our annual Recognition Reception held at Bank of America in Baltimore. The Honorable Thomas E. Perez, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, was our honored guest speaker. He commended our volunteer attorneys and supporters for their commitment to pro bono service.
We recognized with special awards several attorneys who had made outstanding volunteer efforts in 2008 as well as friends of MVLS for their contributions of time, talent and financial support that sustain our mission and make pro bono count for so many Marylanders in need of legal services. We extend a special thank-you to Bank of America for providing space for this reception free of charge.
